Major League Baseball 2K9 - 1

Major League Baseball 2K9 was released on March 3, 2009 under the genre of sports with an ESRB rating of E for everyone. The game was developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. It is a licensed baseball simulation video game published by 2K Sports. In this edition, pitching has been simplified from the previous 2K8’s three-step pitching, to the current two-step pitching, with hold and gesture, with the elimination of the third release timing step. Not only that, mistake pitches, also known as “Meatballs” have been removed entirely and replaced with less effective pitches when they are released badly. There is also an improvement to Al’s pitch selection of which players may choose to use the third step as an option or even use the older Precision Pitching from 2K7. In addition to that, Major League Baseball 2K9 also features a new broadcasting team, comprising of Gary Thorne and Steve Phillips who will provide the play-by-play and fill in the colour commentary respectively.
Reviews
Major League Baseball 2K9 is said to have received universally negative reviews, with features that are similar to that of its predecessor, MLB 2K8 including options for single games, franchise play, playoffs, and the home-run derby, as well as multiplayer matches, tournaments, and seasons against buddies both online and offline. A significant improvement to the game would be its refurbished interface to include the addition of nested menus similar to those on display in NHL 2K9, making it easier to find everything although some of the items would not be where you’d expect them to be. Major League Baseball 2K9 seems to have the foundations for what could have been a creditable baseball game, but with design screw-ups that render playing it as an exercise in frustration every time you hit the diamond.
