The Godfather II
The Godfather II is a PS3 game that falls under the Action or Adventure genre and it was officially released on the 7th April, 2009 by its publisher, Electronic Arts. The game is rated as M for Mature content (sexual themes, more intense violence and/or strong language) which means that it is suitable for players who are more than 17 years old by ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board), while the game’s developer is EA Redwood Shores Studio. The Godfather II game is designed based on the organized crime of the underworld in the background of 1960’s Florida, Cuba and New York. Player will play the role of Dominic, a soldier to the Corleone family. The game started off in a party held in Havana, Cuba. Riots started to break out in the streets, and your task is to take Michael Corleone, together with Aldo (the Don), and Fredo to the airport. At the airport, Aldo is shot by a sniper and he died instantly, while the rest escape unhurt to the plane. When Michael realizes that he has lost a Don, he appoints Dominic as the replacement. From hereon, as Michael Corleone’s most trusted men, Dominic started to make a name in New York seizing and attempting to gain control of businesses run by rival mafia families to make money and in the end forcing the chosen families to become weak and eliminate them entirely.

The Godfather II introduces the new Don of New York where he is able to expand his territorial reign to new cities through extorting businesses, monopolizing illegal crime rings and defeating new families in an effort to become the most powerful mob family in America. The game features “The Don’s View” which is an innovative strategy meta-game that enables players to monitor the entire world as family business keeps on growing. With this feature, players will be able to build, defend and expand their criminal activities, while monitoring the movements and plan of rival mafias. In addition, players will learn how to master the business of organized crime by building a group of Made Men, hiring crew, handing out orders, and promoting their right and trusted men up to the highest ranks. Players need to choose only one made men for the family, either a demolitions expert or a medic. The demolitions expert can create shortcuts through walls and blow up buildings, while the medic has the ability to bring back to life with full health of any crew members who are killed, by just using an injection to the particular person. Players are also allowed to have at least three crew members who have their own skills and expertise, like the Arsonist and Safe Cracker crew members, to help you on your mission. In addition, the game also features Blackhand Brutality where it enables player to use new attacks and executions like a real mafia to command respect, intimidate enemies and extorting business.
The Godfather II also supports multi-player modes enabling player to enjoy playing with friends or opponents of up to 16 players, which include the likes of Team Deathmatch, Demolition Assault, FireStarter, and Safecracker. The multi-player also allows one of the players from each team to play the character of the Don. The Don’s role is like a disembodied camera flying high above the map and able to relay information to teammates about enemy locations and the like both with voice chat and by dropping waypoint beacons. Businesses that you managed to control, not just earning you moneys; they can also unlock special bonuses for you to claim such as controlling two of New York’s prostitution area enables you to receive brass knuckles, while three diamond smuggling operations in Florida will earn you and your crew bulletproof vests. Rival families can be eliminated only when they have lost control of all businesses and retreated to their compounds. Up until this level, the compounds will be unlocked enabling you to fight your way through to wherever it is that you need to place a bomb for total elimination. Apart from the standard controls like R1 for shooting, L1 to aim, R3 for cover, and L3 to crouch, players will be able to do special moves such as executions, grabs, leans, and slams.
