Review
In the Wheelman PS3 game, the story started in the streets of Barcelona where Milo Burik starts working as a getaway driver for a lovely lady Latino bank robber. The Wheelman’s game provides players with skillful display of vehicle handling especially Milo’s melee maneuvers like wildly skid between traffic, smash into enemies like gladiatorial chariots and swinging into handbrake turns. During the game, players can choose specific route, streets, parkways, or footpaths, of the Barcelona city. Although the Wheelman PS3 game does not support online gaming, it provides more than 30 missions and around 100 side-missions which include a third person on-foot shooting section. This third person section can be used during a mission. The circle allows players to crouch behind a cover, while the trigger button enables players to lock-on, aim target, to re-load the ammunitions and also shooting. There are also optional side missions that extend the longevity and provide opportunity of increasing the focus meter, vehicle health, attack power, and performance. Meanwhile, the Fugitive missions will assign you in the middle of enemy territory and challenges you to try and escape to a safe location. Players can also enjoy the scenery around Barcelona city, for example the La Rambla which has a vibrant mix of market vendors, tourists and street performers in real life. In terms of music, it comes with a Spanish-influenced soundtrack for some of the game’s loading screens, and also an orchestra sound in every vehicle chase. During a mission, the music will be locked, but players can choose between seven radio stations when driving around town.
This PS3 games are developed to look and play like a movie in an entirely digital performance of car chases and on-screen collisions. It is generally a driving game where the action has been split between mission play, event and free-play, with the breakdown working out to about 80% of it enabling players to spend time behind the wheel or on motorcycles, while 20% will be on foot mission. Besides that, the Wheelman features a fully destructible environment that allows players to take advantage of all special abilities and in-game features, known as ‘Wheelman Moves’. This is in line with the game’s philosophy which considers vehicles as the ultimate weapons of destruction.
