Reviews
Dark, mature story and gameplay are said to be the ultimate features of the epic Dragon Age: Origins as it has introduced an innovative and scalable combat system. It is also the fact as players face large-scale battles and use their party’s special abilities to destroy enemies and enormous creatures. The Dragon Age’s plot which meets up with the coming invasion of a group of fiend creatures called the Darkspawn. Players would then encounter a number of spectacular characters that brings different kind of emotions and feelings to the player or the main character itself. These characters burst forth during spine-tingling moments when you must choose from a selection of difficult choices that affect the tale’s direction–and the way your associates interact with you. Soon, you’ll know more about them and will grow to care for them on your expedition of glory for example there’s Duncan who gave up his family when he joined the ranks of the Wardens: a symbolic gesture of cutting ties, like many others. He also has been entrusted with the task of leading the Grey Wardens in Ferelden and King Cailan Theirin, the son of the legendary King Maric Theirin who drove the Orlesian Empire from Ferelden and also Keeper Zathrian who is the leader of Dalish Elves and more. The great dialogue and fantastic voice acting give these characters a dash of reality. Ferelden is a lively and mesmerizing kingdom that takes enough cues from renowned fantasy tropes to be familiar but bends enough conventions to feel unique. Dwarves are also featured in this game, their caste-based society and the social paragons will keep you fascinated. Additionally relationships and love too are present in this game, but first you must improve your standings with available party members by offering gifts and fulfilling quests that would delight them. By doing so, there may be more dialogue options and may even reward you with unexpected gifts beyond the private pleasures of your tent. On some important quests, you’ll encounter multifaceted choices that would force you to weigh the risks against the rewards. Plus, you will experience one of six different “origin stories” that follow the events that will lead you to the elite Grey Wardens. There’ll be choices of origins that the player could select; the selected Origin determines who they are and where they will begin the adventure, as they play through a customized story opening that profoundly impacts the course of every adventure.  Every origin story leads to the same place; however that doesn’t mean you will leave these events behind for good. Characters you met earlier on in the game will cross your path again, and crucial moments of your origin story will continue to haunt you. For this adventurer quest, you are allowed to take 3 companions with you. There would be also the Powerful magic that players can use to rain down awesome destructions on enemies as the players can apply “spell combos,” a way of combining together different spells to create emergent unique effects. With its emotionally compelling story, players are allow to prefer with whom they wish to forge alliances or crush under their mighty fist, redefining the world with the choices they make and how they use their power.

“For as great as Knights of the Old Republic was in the day, Dragon Age: Origins simply trumps it. I’m a Star Wars fan, so I can give you a good evaluation of the comparison. Dragon Age: Origins is one of the best games that Bioware has produced. It’s an improved system over KOTOR and Mass Effect, plus it mixes in a great story and insane depth to give you one of the more unrivaled gaming experiences of this generation.”  (digitalchumps.com, 2009)
