Fairytale Fights
Introduction
A hack and slash action-adventure video game “Fairytale Fights” is developed and both published by Playlogic Entertainment. It was released worldwide on October 27, 2009 for games consoles like the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
What’s the story about?
This video game is based in a magical fairytale kingdom existed far beyond the clouds and high above the seas. But soon as years passed by, the fairytale heroes who roamed this distant land grew restless and twisted in their pursuit of recognition for their charms and deeds. Now four fairytale heroes are embarking on a search for the fame and fortune they believe is deservedly theirs and this is one story that isn’t going to have a traditional “happily ever after.” However, Fairytale Fights draws the player into a dark and twisted fairytale world. The player can play a variety of fairytale characters and indulge the player’s most bloodthirsty whims as they use Dynamic Slicing Technology to slice and dice their way through everything from lumberjacks to gingerbread men to cute bunnies. Then carve up to the enemies in frenzied attacks and watch the world drenched in blood.
Features of this game
The player is allowed to play as one of a variety of characters in this brutally violent fairytale world as it runs amok and taking down the enemies with more than 140 weapons, allowing the player to slice and dice, freeze, burn, attack with acid or push the enemies in front of oncoming trains, among other violent moves. Then, by using the Dynamic Slicing Technology to carve up the player’s enemies as 3D polygon models drench the area in a sea of limbs and blood. Next, slice up the enemies in frenzied Glory Attacks and see the actions unfold up close with the adjustable PnP window. Other than that, slide through pools of blood rendered with gory realism by the Volumetric Liquid System and even could write the player’s name in blood. Besides that, the player could explore 20 unique playable areas built from the remains of books and fairytale memorabilia. Moreover, the player could select any three difficulty levels, each with a multiple enemies to destroy. Finally, this game enable the player too to battle friends and family for the best weapons and collectibles in multiplayer Story mode, or meet on the field of battle for a brutalfight to the death.
Characters
There are a variety of character in this game which are from the fairytale world. First up there’s, Little Red Riding Hood, whose profession is delivering food baskets to her grandma until Little Taylor beat her up to it. Then, there’s Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, whose profession is looking after the 7 dwarfs, Snow white is an oprhan too with a wicked stepmother wanting to cut her good heart out. Besides that, There’s also the Emperor form the Fairytale “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, whose profession is managing his new empire with new threads and regaining his lost fame. Next, there’s Jack form “Jack and the Beanstalk”, whose profession is selling cows for magic beans. There’s few other character too which are the Butcher, Father Bear, Ginger Bread Man, Gnome, Hansel and Gretel, Little Taylor, Pied Piper, Pinocchio, Rocky, and lastly the Sleeping Beauty.
“Fairytale Fights is an action game that puts an emphasis on slicing lumberjacks, gingerbread men, rabbits, wolves, mice, and other storybook characters into messy little pieces as gallons of blood spill on the ground. So perhaps, in a twisted way, it’s appropriate that the gameplay feels sloppy and the experience of playing the game is nothing short of painful. (Gamespot, 2009)
